Spring has arrived, which means that the 2022 Reservation Economic Summit is just around the corner. If you haven’t done so already, I encourage you to purchase your tickets to Indian Country’s largest and longest-running economic development conference. This year, we’ll welcome guest to our new venue, Caesars Palace. Though the location may have changed, you will still experience the same fantastic speakers, informative sessions, expansive trade show, and networking opportunities that you’ve come to expect from RES.

RES isn’t the only event coming up that I want to share with you. Our next Native Edge Institute is coming to you from the beautiful islands of Hawaii, from March 29-31. Though our next Trade Training event is in April, we have an exciting update to share about the Arizona MBDA Export Center, operated by The National Center. JoAn Notah, who has helped hundreds of our Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) clients reach their business goals over the last two-plus decades, is now Project Director for the Export Center. JoAn is bringing her immeasurable experience to help us take our Export Center to the next level. I’m excited for JoAn – and for the businesses that will benefit from her leadership. I am also thrilled to announce that our team is continuing to grow, specifically our PTAC. We’re opening a new PTAC office in Louisiana, led by Procurement Specialist Chris Jeansonne Jr. Joining Chris are Stan Sams, Procurement Specialist in the Colorado Satellite Office, and Mabel Tsosie, Procurement Specialist at the Navajo National Satellite Office.
