A Message From Our President — April 2022

I know it’s hard to believe, but we are only about 6 weeks out from the 2022 Reservation Economic Summit. This year’s event promises to be one of the best ever, with 3,000 people expected to be in attendance. Whether you are a first-time guest or if you’ve been coming to RES since the 1990s, we know you will have a great time filled with networking, informative sessions, business matchmaking, the largest trade show in Indian Country, fantastic artisans, and much more.

If you haven’t booked your tickets yet, there’s still time. But you shouldn’t delay – visit www.res.ncaied.org to secure your spot and book your hotel room.

While on the website, you can also learn more about the fantastic lineup of speakers and entertainment we have scheduled for RES. We have some of the top names in government and business will headline our daily keynote sessions, including confirmed speakers from the White House and Small Business Administration. The largest tradeshow in Indian Country awaits you in Las Vegas, to go along with unparalleled networking opportunities. For entertainment, country music star Matt Stillwell will be making his return to RES. Motivational speakers James Anderson and DJ Vanas. Singer and former American Idol contestant Alexis Raeana will also join us once again.

We are making updates to the schedule and agenda nearly daily, so make sure to check it the website regularly.

Though RES is quickly approaching, we have several other events I’d like to share with you. On April 14, we will host an open house for the Arizona Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Export Center at our headquarters in Mesa, Arizona. The open house will give us a chance to talk about our work and plans for Export Center, including our ongoing webinar series to boost Native participation in global trade and exports. Attendance is limited for the event, so if you’re interested in attended, RSVP now.

On April 19 and 20, the Native Edge Institute (NEI) makes a stop in Denver, Colorado. Powered by KeyBank, NEI Colorado will focus on Economic Resilience: Building and Sustaining Your Business. It will kick off with a networking reception on the afternoon of the 19th, with food catered by famed Native American eatery TOCABE. On the 20th, we have an all-star lineup of speakers and presenters from the Denver area Native American and finance communities. Want to join this free one-day training? I hope to see you in Las Vegas in May – or at another National Center event coming to a city near you.
